On petting dogs

At the park today because I was on dad duty. Rose went to France and mom and dad postponed their trip because dad needed to have fairly minor but emergency kidney stone procedure.

We went to Mesa park where Brooklyn saw a dog. “You need to ask if the dog is friendly before you pet him”

Turning to the dog she asked “are you friendly?”

Meanwhile, West looked on from the swings. Cool cat.

Alone time with West and birds

Brooklyn went to bed early so Westy boy and I sat out on the deck lounge chair. With the early evening summer breeze cooling us down we listened to the birds and looked at the ripening oranges and lemons on the trees

Boo boo

Walking through the grocery store…
Brooklyn: I got a boo boo today
Me: you did? Oh no! You need me to kiss it better?
Brooklyn: um, no that’s ok, I have a band aid
